Quality Assurance is an important activity
that must be done by every producer during the process of manufacturing.
Ensuring the quality of PET and Preform bottles plays a significant role to maintain the standard of the Bottles. This method helps to determine the various
dimensions of PET Bottles like Bottleneck, shoulder height and wall thickness.
The quality of the bottle is determined mainly by the equal distribution of the
weight all along the bottle. In other
words, the proper distribution can be ensured with the uniform wall thickness
of the bottles. This ensures permeability
and durability of the bottles.
When a bottle goes through a blow molding
procedure from the very first stage when
it is in the form of Preform, it goes through various types of test to measure
the various properties of PET bottles. One of the major properties to test the
quality of the bottles is measuring the thickness of the bottles from all the
dimensions. After measuring the dimension, they are kept under heavy load to
test the load capacity that a PET bottle can bear without complete deformation.
This will indicate that the portion of the bottle will less thickness will get
rupture first. Apart from this, many problems are also faced at the time of
filling line and injection moulding.
